We are people who share a genuine passion for Cēsis – we see this city as a living, changing and story-filled place where the past intertwines with the present and inspires the future.
Our aim is to discover, preserve and pass on the history of Cesis and the stories of today, which are often hidden in seemingly invisible details – building facades, courtyards, people’s memories and daily routines. Each member of our team brings their own unique perspective, experience and feeling to the project.
We go, we listen, we explore, we write and we share. With respect for the place and its people, with enthusiasm and a desire to inspire others to go and seek, feel and explore.
Our Main Trail Expert - Garais
The main trail expert and story engine. Garais is a man who always knows where the trail leads – both literally and figuratively. He is the chief compiler and researcher of the stories of Cēsis, searching, collecting and structuring information, delving into archives, talking to locals, and seeing connections where others only pass by.
Thanks to him, the “Cēsis Stories” acquire depth, context and heart.
Our Trail Guide - Terēze
Excellent guide and expert. It is Therese who leads people along the path of stories – both in word and in feeling. Her voice and presence in the guides’ stories create a special connection with the listener. She shares her experiences, observations and precious details that give each object a lively and human dimension.
She is also a great storyteller who knows how to tell the important things with lightness, sincerity and precision.
