We believe that every place has a story waiting to be told. “Cēsis Stories” is an initiative that combines history, architecture and people’s destinies to reveal the unique soul of the city of Cēsis. Our aim is to preserve and promote this heritage, making it accessible to everyone – locals and visitors alike.
How do we do it?
We collect and research different sources, draw inspiration from the city’s ancient and contemporary stories, and give everyone the opportunity to participate in the process of discovery. “Cēsis Stories is not just a platform with informative materials – it is a place where the history of Cēsis comes alive.

We are history enthusiasts, researchers and lovers of the cultural heritage of Cesis who want to share this wealth. We work with local people, archives and historians to create the most complete set of Cēsis stories possible.
