Petrol Stations

In the old town of Cēsis during the 1920s and 1930s there were two petrol stations, or “bencina avoti” as they were called back then.
One of the stations was located in front of the building at what is now 3 Lenču Street, while the other was at Līvu Square.

The Līvu Square station belonged to The Shell Company of Latvia Ltd and was known as “Petrol Station III”. Its official address was 37 Vaļņu Street, with phone number 215.

Incidentally, The Shell Company of Latvia Ltd’s Cēsis branch was located at 6 Rīgas Street.
